MISSION STATEMENT:
....Our purpose is to bring to light hidden truths in old photographs, restore them as close as possible to their original state and preserve them for future generations. We are dedicated to preserving the historical integrity and quality of the images with which we work.

Owner Donna Rouviere Anderson established Ancestor Images in 2000 to restore clients’ faded and damaged family photographs and provide lasting, archival prints of them. Donna decided to open her business after receiving dramatic results in digitally restoring badly damaged photographs from her own antique photo collection. Even photographs which showed no visible image emerged as bright as the day they were taken when scanned into the computer and enhanced through photo imaging. Donna and her colleagues since have digitally restored hundreds of old photographs. She has become accustomed to her clients reacting with joy upon seeing their treasures restored and printed anew, and to hearing enthusiasitc reports from clients’ relatives who receive restored prints. Donna has done restoration work ranging from one photograph to entire private. She and her staff provide the same meticulous custom quality on each image.

Donna has been involved in photo work for more than 20 years, having started to work with photographs as an international journalist. For 10 years, she and her photographer husband ran an international photo business in Beijing, China. Their major clients included Time magazine, Fortune, Life, Time-Life books, Gamma-Liaison photo agency, and other international publications.

Donna currently is pursuing a masters’ degree in Public History, emphasizing photo conservation. She also has written about photographs for genealogical publications, spoken about them at genealogical seminars (make this a link) and is working on a book.
