Prices & Ordering:

We charge $25 per hour to restore and retouch photographs. Most photographs take two to four hours each to restore, so the average cost of restoration is $50-100. A badly damaged photograph would cost more. We provide an estimate upon seeing the original or an e-mailed scan of the photograph. After restoring a photograph, we show you the result on the computer or via e-mail. After you have approved the final version, you may order archival prints of it in the following sizes and for the following costs:

5"x7" and smaller .............. $6.00 (USD)
8"x10".................................$12.00 (USD)
11"x14" up to 13"x19"..........$20.00 (USD)

We provide beautiful custom archival prints made with Epson equipment and premium-quality archival papers and ink. Epson guarantees that black-and-white prints made with these materials will last for 90+ years.

CDs

For $10, we also will provide you with a CD containing the following:
a scan of the original photograph a scan of the back of the photograph if it has caption information on it
the restored version of the photograph a record of the photograph, including its history, caption information, and a description of our restoration.

Shipping costs

All shipments of photographs to us must be insured and trackable. We return photographs the same way. We recommend that you use Federal Express to ship photographs, but will accept them via U.S. or UPS if you cannot use Federal Express.

We charge for shipping according to the actual cost of shipping your package, and do not charge for our time in preparing the package.

We are not responsible for damage to a photograph incurred during shipping, so we recommend that you do not ship photographs which have glass as a component, but instead have a high quality scan made and send it to us on a CD.
